QSART negative.
Nerve conduction negative. MRI brain and MRI spine negative (according to doctors). All labs negative. numbness/tingling/now nerve pain started 2 months ago. Could I be too early for nerve damage? Thank you. |

Not sure if QSART would show anything but if you have small fiber neuropathy those other test will all be normal. If your doctor will go for it request a skin biopsy. That's how my neuro diagnosed me.

the emg/ncs could definitely be negative if there is not enough nerve damage yet to register in either velocity or amplitude.

I was Dx with small fiber neuropathy by punch skin biopsy 2 yrs ago. All of my tests including 2 NCS/EMG, 2 MRI's brain and spine were normal. All of my blood tests keep coming back normal. Mine beast is idiopathic. (the worst kind Im beginning to believe because they can not find a cause, no cause no treatment, just drugs!) . Mine started with tingling in lower calves and burning under my feet, It has since progressed to my whole body. (arms, legs, hands, fingers, torso) I get bad buzzing, pins and needles, bad burning, etc...I'm still searching for answers..Good luck to you! Keep us posted.... |
