If you've been following this forum for awhile, you've probably read about alpha lipoic acid. I can't tell you with certainty that it's helped me, but something has reduced my pain and discomfort by about 50% since the spring, and it's the only thing I can really point to. I guess I believe it must be helping since I'm gladly spending the $16/month to keep taking it. You can do some Googling about it if you haven't already. The way I looked at it initially, it couldn't hurt.

Here's the brand I'm taking that I get from Amazon. I take a capsule twice a day.

Doctor's Best Best Stabilized R-Lipoic Acid Featuring Bioenhanced Na-RALA (100 mg)

Good luck, and if you're an old hippie, hopefully you have some good old hippie music to bring you solace. CSN is what soothes my soul on a bad day.

Janie,
How much do you take daily?
TIA

Welcome to NeuroTalk.

If you are taking a drug known to cause PN, you'll have to consider discontinuing it and discussing that with your doctor.

Statins, and Fluoroquinolones (Cipro, Levaquin, and Avelox) are the most common but there are others too.
