I can't help you as I don't have the knowledge needed to answer your specific questions but I can suggest perhaps posting on the Alcoholism, Addiction and Recovery Forum while you wait for answers here.

There's some excellent info on that forum relating to Peripheral Neuropathy and alcohol specifically.
