Default It's been a while

I have not posted here for a very long time. Brief history. My dad has had PN for 11 years, since having it he has travelled to Australia four times. He is 77 years old still lives on his own and for the most part copes quite well. He is taking no vitamins, only prescribed drugs. He gets very cold legs and feet pain sometimes and has foot drop, hiis walking has deteriated. He has a monthly steroid treatment which eases symtoms a little. Many years ago my dad bought some avi shape up shoes he is still wearing them but they are on their last legs these help him with walking, unfortunately I have been unable to find the shoes to buy again, I was wondering if anyone else has tryed these and knows where I can get them, or if anyone knows of any other shoes that may help. On a positive note my dad is off to Australia again soon to visit my sister. I know he finds things a struggle but be remains positive.

Avia appears to have discontinued the style, but Sketchers have a "Shape Ups" with the curved sole. You also might want to do a search on Ebay, as I found a pair of new, but discontinued Avia athletic shoes for my wife, in her size, awhile back.

It sounds like its time for a new pair anyway however I have New Balance shoes that were about 3 or 4 yrs old and my chiropractor had (for 30$) inserts that were really beefed up in the arch. One more avenue for your consideration. Good Luck, Ken in Texas
