Welcome Marrox.... If you use magnesium oxide..you are not absorbing much. This is the commonest form in many supplements, because it is inexpensive. please check out this thread: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=1138

Look for a product called dolomite. This is a mineral containing carbonates of calcium and magnesium. If you can't find that item, look for something that contains the carbonates of magnesium and calcium.
There is good evidence that this product helps with cramps.
