The thread on plane travel reminded me to ask this...
Does anyone have experience with going on vacation at altitude with SFN? Until last year when I felt so miserable, I'd been taking annual trips to Colorado to visit a good friend. He lives at 8500 feet in the mountains west of Denver. I have issues to begin with going from living at 200 feet to spending a week at 8500 feet (increased heart rate, sleep issues, etc...), and I can't help but wonder what the lower oxygen levels might have on my SFN. Trying to acclimate at a lower altitude might be an option, but even that would be at 5000+ feet. I don't even want to think about planning a trip if there's reason to believe I'll be miserable the whole time, but I did miss going out there horribly last year. Thanks. |
