Thanks for your thoughts, Deb- actually she was a H.S. dropout at age 14 1/2 and when pregnant at 16, studied for her G.E.D. then went to college and got her BA. My oldest is now 19, with some community college credits, and we just went to a graduation ceremony (High School) for about 30 of the home schooled kids in our area thru the home school accreditation organization. Each had a graduation speech to deliver. Each was so independent, intelligent and self motivated - it was a credit to all the home school moms out there who just felt that the 'system' was wrong for their kids. Many were already taking college credits and all were college bound, with over half getting scholarships of some type. It was an exciting afternoon.
