Right now, I am on gabapentin, working up to 900 per day. For the pain.
I am tapering off the cortisone now, which should have taken care of the inflammation.

Then I'm also in physiotherapy to massage my shoulder/neck, with traction and light exercises.

I am going to ask my doctor for neuro-friendly infusions and my orthopedic for acupuncture. Or maybe he will have some other treatment for me.

I'm sorry you are going through this, I hope for answers and the right treatment plan for you. Please keep us updated!

Exercise my goal is make it to the gym 3-4X a week since walking many times hurts so long distances is out of the question.
I do mainly low impact cardio - stationary bike and water aerobics. The gym has one of those full body workout areas that takes about 10 minutes to complete that I do 1-2X a week.

I've been sent back to PT recently and many of the stretches they have me trying have really aggravated my back.

I do know you have to keep moving as much as possible.

My PN is considered Critical Illness Neuropathy. In October 2010 I left for a golf trip not feeling well, woke up in a hospital 21 days later. I was in an induced coma for treatment of Legioneers Disease. First day out of ICU I noticed the pain in my feet and as they say the rest is history.

my orthopedic for acupuncture

Please be careful with acupuncture! My practitioner caused serious damage to me and I am suffering terribly. when I spoke to her about it she claimed she was going "deep" to help me! However, she is in complete denial about what happened.
