Whatever is happening I think is definately happening in the skin. Every night when I wake up my pain and crushing and throbbing and twitching is really really bad. Tonight I noticed that there was a big difference in these feelings in the areas where I rubbed my cream compound ( calves, back of upper arms, inside wrists and upper back. I can only assume that whatever is happening is happening at skin level and the creAm works as extra pain/numbing agent so I feel less there.
Does this happen to anybody else? Also, my sleep has been plagued by scary and upsetting dreams ( when I actually manage to sleep. ) I'm thinkin it's the nortriptiline, does this go away?p |

I think antidepressants in general have the tendency to give you very vivid dreams. Not necessarily good dreams or bad dreams - just more vivid and more memorable......

Canagirl,
Nortriptyline is known to cause vivid dreams. Your situation and overactive mind is likely to be turning them 'bad'. The effects may well wear off over a few weeks as the med relaxes you and - hopefully - you sleep longer and deeper. Dave.
