Thanks. I checked the symptoms list, and can't say that many of them ring true. I don't really have any joint swelling or stiffness. Still, I'll keep that symptom list in mind.
I also still need to try the CurcuBrain. I tried a bottle of another Longvida, but didn't notice any improvement anywhere. I had specifically hoped my elbow might feel better. |

Our alternative/holistic pharmacy here recommended Ligaplex II to my daughter who is dealing with collapsed tendon in her foot, so she recommended it to me and I'm on it for over 7 months....there are a lot of reviews on amazon on it and the main mineral in it is Manganese which is critical for our bones. Some yrs ago an integrative MD did a mineral panel and manganese came up really low.... So you all might want to look at this Standard Process supplement.
With advanced aging and a mess from hip replacement in 2010, I'm wearing down too much. sighhhhh Many chiro docs sell the Standard Process line, and SP are big in muscle testing. |

This is what is in Ligaplex II...
https://www.standardprocess.com/Prod...I#.VWODtUZ53To This blend of bovine tissue, including adrenal which would have nerves in it)...is concerning...if anyone is worried about Prion disease transmission. the proprietary blend does not tell you how much of each nutrient is in each capsule...I tend to not like this type of product as there is no guarantee you are getting anything consistently in it. So this is up to $40.00 a bottle for very little. Manganese is very plentiful in most veggies. People doing vegan or mostly high vegetable intake, would be getting alot of manganese that way. http://nutritiondata.self.com/foods-...l?maxCount=437 One thing tendons need is silica. This is found in vegetables also, like green beans. Bananas are high too. Most whole grains. One thing we do NOT need is fluoroquinolone drugs which somehow damage the metabolism of tendons and lead to ruptures. It has been years now, that these drugs are damaging people, and still we have no explanation as to how the tendons are rupturing and if there is any way to prevent it. Here is a monograph explaining manganese: http://lpi.oregonstate.edu/mic/minerals/manganese

Thanks very much, MrsD. I do eat a ton of veggies most days, and having just checked the foods highest in magnesium, I should be ok.
I've asked three orthopedists if there's anything I can take or do to support my tendons, and they've all just shook their heads. I was doing some reading on a bodybuilding site where some guys were extolling the virtues of a product called Super Cissus for tendon healing. Have you heard of cissus, MrsD? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24113700 ____________ |

Manganese has a narrow therapeutic index, meaning a small window where it is useful, then may become toxic if overused. This is why I put the MANganese link up. I am sorry, I don't know much about cissus... but it does look inexpensive so far. Here is a WebMD link about it. http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supple...quadrangularis
