Default Keifer as a source of B12

Hi guys! I'm new here but just ordered a few supplements after reading a few of your awesome posts and I'm feeling very hopeful about this!! I was wondering if anyone has tried homemade milk kiefer as a source of B12? I've heard Kiefer is high in B12 and the homemade stuff has lots of healthy yeast and bacteria that are good for the gut in general. I used to make it, but stopped while nursing my son with a dairy allergy. I'm thinking about ordering some and giving it a try. It would be almost a free B12 source, but I wanted to get your thoughts on it. I ordered the methyl-B12 so I'm eager to see if that helps (currently taking the cyano form for 1 month with no change).

I use Lifeway:

Luckily for me it is at Kroger's and Costco... so convenient.

Thanks Mrs. D. The link posted seems to suggest whole fat. I get Lifeway too, but I've always opted for the low fat version. I'm just wondering if it matters and if we get the same benefits from the low fat one. Was also happy to see it has K2 in it!

I made my own kefir for quite awhile as a probiotic source. I really enjoyed it, but I was adding a lot of sugar to it to make it palatable. (My favorite thing was a scoop of chocolate SlimFast powder.)

When I started watching my sugar consumption, I gave it up, but I do miss it.

it probably is a natural source of b12, since only bacteria can produce in this manner, but its probably not as concentrated as the "pill" forms.
