What I've had the best luck with is Harlequin, for pain relief and sedation. Unfortunately it's in short supply where I live. My doctor said that different strains affect people differently, just like prescription meds, and you have to experiment. The list of other high CBD strains that she gave me were: AC/DC, Blue Widow, Blue Train, Cannatonic, Critical Mass, Grape Crush, Harie-Tsu, Midnight, Nordle, OG's Pearl, Pennywise, Purple AK-47, Purple Diesel, Rafael, Remedy, Shark, Skunk Haze, Sour Tsunami, and Swiss Gold. The website leafly.com has very detailed info on the attributes of each strain.

![]() If anyone pursues MMJ, it's critical s/he finds the most helpful strain. There are systemic effects upon heart function and the bodily functioning in general. There are also side-effects. MMJ is not for everyone. My PCP gave me open MMJ access; yet, also explained the potential negative effects. MMJ can also have some negative interactions with some medications. Just for instance, marijuana has anticholinergic effects upon the body. What does this mean? Which meds do this? Which medical conditions pose further known risks with added anticholinergics? http://www.healthline.com/health/ant...gics#Overview1 We need to know more than this in order to make a fully informed decision about MMJ use. Please be well-informed. Treat MMJ as you would any potent "medication." Show MMJ due respect. Gain knowledge about potential immediate effects upon the functioning of vital organs, as well as any potential longer term effects. Also thoroughly check any potential interactions with medications, as well as any contraindications for various medical conditions. Be safe! ![]() To Our Healing! DejaVu |

My most helpful "prn" or "take as needed" med is a pain med meant for quicker relief for breakthrough pain. It is hydromorphone. It is taken in addition to a daily pain meds which are taken 24/7. I am fortunate to have access to this med, as it has made life possible, often.
The oral doses are nothing like the IV form given in ERs or inpatient medical settings. Less potent. ![]() DejaVu |
