Default not really sure

Yes, I think I do grip with my toes. I've worn shoes without the backs in them for years. In fact with the neuropathy, I don't want anything else because I can slip my foot out of it rapidly if the burning gets too bad. And, I tend to drag my feet because of the difficulty of lifting one leg, so I'd have to say that to keep them on you grip with your toes. They do make the clog style with a strap behind the heel tho.

There is another form of clog that I'm thinking of ordering for winter weather. They look more narrow made and I've got a terribly narrow foot. I also like the good toe bumper. I'm forever running my big toe under things. A friend told me that she wears them and they have a wonderful arch support. I've seen hers and they are well made. Here's a link to them: http://www.keenfootwear.com/pdp_page.cfm?productID=158 They are pricy, but you can do a search and find on line sales for them. I just found them for about half price at onlineshoes.com. I wore out my winter clogs during the trip to Mayo (snow, wheelchair wheels running over them). Actually they were worn out anyway. And I've got to have something before the bad weather comes. So the search is on.

Shoes are terrible things for me. Narrow foot, one foot has no arch and both big toes seem to be turning up. All of this combined with RA in the joints makes for shoe shopping trips with none bought. Or worse than that, shopping until I drop, finally buying a pair and then coming home with them and finding out after a couple of hours of wearing them that I can't wear them for some reason. So when I find a pair that fits, doesn't hurt and the neuropathy doesn't gripe about it, I buy them 2 pair at a time.

I haven't seen the Cloggens, but found them on line. I actually tried the Crocs when they first came out. Way too wide for my foot. So I've never had a pair of those. But clogs I love. So I'm going to try the Keens clog. If it fits, I'll wear them until there is nothing left of it.

Default Mrs. D. I tried uploading some pics!!!! no go

This is the message I received:

Sorry, MelodyL: Bad File - No File or File is too Large or of the Wrong MIME Type

Okay, what do I do now.

It's really no big thing. I don't want to drive you people crazy with resizing these images. I just want to know if I can learn to do it myself.

Thanks much.

Mel

Default Keens

Will do, I did order them so should only be a few days. I've got a narrow foot with a high instep, hard to fit because of the turned up toes. I'm hoping this footbox will accomodate them without the rest of the shoe being too wide for me. And I found them for about half price by doing a web search. They should be pretty weatherproof waterwise too because of the rubber clog bottom. My friend's weren't heavy either. I hate heavy shoes, cause I don't lift my toes well and a heavy shoe makes it worse.

Lightbulb Mel...

I am using jpeg format. Most internet board require that. Or bmp

If you have problems, please post to the thread on Forum Feedback for them
to help you out. The picture sizes can be larger, than on posts, so it is more
flexible than posting requirements.

I might just do that. Can't believe that at 59, I'm learning formats about uploading stuff up to a site (I've done this plenty of times on phobobucket (thanks you you,

Would you believe that I know people who not only do not have a computer, they wouldn't go near one, they are afraid it will bite them. And I have friend who has a dvd player and her son has to come up from downstairs and put in the dvd for her. I just looked at her and said "did you ever think of just taking the remote and press play?" and she laughed and said "what do I have a son for??"

Couldn't answer that. I wanted to bob her one. I know MANY people who think like that. I call them techno challenged. Oh, and this is the best. She loves to watch lifetime. She loves movies about mormons and amish. There was one on yesterday. I had seen it previously and I knew she would love it so I'm sitting on her porch last night and I said "Your movie was on today, did you see it? and she says "Oh I only saw 30minutes, we had to leave. I said "why on earth didn't you tape it, and she said: "oh, I can't be bothered to learn to tape anything (she has a vhs too). And I said: "but you've been talking about this movie all week, it was on, all you had to do was press the record button and leave. It would have taped all day, and you would have had your lifetime movies!!!!

Her response: 'Tape all day?, who wants to tape all day, that will break the machine". I wasn't about to explain quick timer for her.

I give up. LOL

Default Keens Clogs

For Kmeb and Mrs. D, (I think)

The Keen Clogs I posted about, arrived today. They are a good fit, the arch is high and they have a good toebox. My turned up toes fit well. Only thing I can find to complain about is,... they are stiff, I tend to clomp when I walk and the leather insoles have grooves in them. They bother my heels. I think socks will make a difference and hopefully the stiffness will work out some. They are light weight and good quality leather inside and out. I've decided I'm keeping them. They might fit you Liza Jane. The toe area has lots of room and the heels are narrow.
