Default So, I think we can take out the genetic link now.

Last night both of my husbands legs were tingling/vibrating.

I am very upset and scared. I don't know what to do.

I agree that upsetting would be putting it nicely. If you live in a municipality that has a health dept. Perhaps some soil and or water testing could get done but since a beauracracy is involved it may be a can of worms. Good Luck, Ken in Texas.

I'd start by changing your water, and not using the jug dispenser.

Get a good water filtration unit... Zero water, or Pur and use your tap water and see if anything changes.

Don't go in the lake, and don't go barefoot anymore.

Save that Poland water and get it tested.

That would be a start.

I'm so sorry. Yes definitely no genetic link.

Is tick-borne disease still high on your list? I know you saw a LLMD. Has anyone in your family taken any type of lyme tests? Even the conventional elisa screen or western blot? If this were me, I'd put this higher on my list of potential causes.

You all drink and bathe in city water, correct? There are chemists whose full time job is to test and assess the quality of your city water (I have friends who do this). I'd probably put this lower on my list, especially if there aren't other families in your neighborhood having issues.

You said you've never seen any black mold. So perhaps this is lower on your list. There is a test called ERMI test, which tests the VOCs from mold that land in the dust of your home. Most mold testing companies just test the air quality, which is not what is necessarily making people unwell. I'm not very familiar with the topic of mold yet, it's something that I just started researching.

You already tested yourself for heavy metals? Which panel did you run? You were negative for lead, correct (lead paint)? I know I've mentioned radon before...how about asbestos? Do you a working carbon monoxide detectors on all levels of your home?

Any family vacations out of the country? Any rounds of vaccinations, especially like the rabies vaccine?

Where do you buy your food - grocery store, farmers market, grow your own? Maybe you could change some of this up. You are very knowledgeable about nutrition, so I'm sure you pulled gluten, dairy, and soy out of the family diet to see if if helps. Are there any supplements that you have the whole family taking?

Sorry for all my random thoughts, but I'm just trying to cast the net as wide as possible.

I am got an aquasana countertop faucet double filter, but the tap water is still so bad. Think I'll go get a Pur pitcher today to see if that helps.

For our next bottle replacement, I cleaned and scrubbed my water cooler with soap and hot water and ran tons of hot water through to clean out that tube you can't get to.
Still, I guess if there is something that can breed in there, I should just give up on that thing for now.

I checked all three lakes that we swam in for there water testing online and they all were clean with no detectable blue/green toxic stuff, and now that my husbands weird stuff is pretty recent, and he has not been in a lake for a year, I might be able to rule that out.

I put some of the Poland spring water on the counter in the window sill so see if anything strange grows and will save that sample to be tested.

Will definitely chill out with the barefeet!
Thanks Mrs. D

I appreciate all of your random thoughts! Please keep them coming- all helpful.
The only thing that we all do consistently is drink the same water, live in the same house, same yard, and eat the same meat about once a week from the same farm. Ill probably switch up the meat- yah just never know!

I had the luxury of testing my own water when I worked in the lab. I'm not sure how you feel about nitrates, but Pur Pitchers do nothing at all to filter those out. My reverse-osmosis Pur filter that attaches to my faucet cut my nitrate level down by 50%.

Have you checked with other people in your neighborhood? Anyone with similar symptoms? Sorry if this has already been asked.

Are you on well water? it's not just about what you are drinking (when it comes to the water)...you shower/bathe in water too. If it is well water and it's is contaminated in some way, then you can pick up things via water getting in your eyes, ears, mouth, etc.

You can contact your local health dept for companies that do water testing. It's not usually very costly, we just went through this and paid $45 for professional lab testing on our well water.
