Default SFN and hair loss

I think the hair on my ankles look thinner. Any way to combat this? I assume it's because the nerves aren't bringing nutrients to the skin/hair follicle. Would it work to use topical creams with vitamins to nourish from the outside? Any recommendations?

No hair on my legs. That's the way it goes with CMT and nothing one can do about it. At least I don't have to shave my legs.

I have less hair on both my arms and legs. I really only have to shave once a week now. I'm taking supplements and don't think they have made an impact. I've also seen some B-vitamin creams on the market, but have yet to try any.

I was losing the hair on my legs before I had the SFN symptoms. Always thought it was just because I'm getting older......... Maybe it was an early sign of what was to come. Oh well, don't a lot of guys shave their legs these days anyway??

I have male pattern baldness on my legs, too. I think it looks odd, but so do my whacked out muscles.

Hair loss on the legs is common with neuropathy according to what my neuro told me. However, there is nothing that can be done unless you are able to reverse the neuropathy.

I have NO hair on my upper legs at all now (for years) and only some hair on the shins and at the ankle of my lower legs. The backs, sides and top of lower legs doesn't have much, if any, hair.

most people dont have hair on their ankles. Depending on your genetics, some groups of people have more hair in certain parts of the body than others. I have alopecia areata, and it thins out and make my hair falls out easily all over the body.

I have hair loss on one side of my legs on the calf-the other side is still hairy haha.

I have lost hair from my feet and back of my hands (it was light and fine any way-but now its baby smooth). Hair on my arms is less thick.

My skin has also gotten...I don't know how to describe it-thinner? More see through? Kind of weird to try and explain it. I can see all my veins much easier now, and it is definitely increasing. The veins themselves aren't huge or fat and protruding-just easier to see, like a road map. Especially in feet and hands, but now elsewhere, also.

Apparently hair and skin changes are fairly normal for neuropathy. I do hope the hair on my head stays the same haha...

Yeah my veins are more noticeable too, kinda freaky looking. My big veins also bulge more than they used to. I'm hoping moisturizer will keep it from thinning much more.
