I have a spin-bike and would and still do get on it and listen to Internet radio and for one song I sit straight and do legs and let arms hang. Also roll ankles and scrunch toes and head rolls. Second song use arms to assist legs. Third song arms and legs plus try to stand up and pedal standing. This last is hard and gets near cardio heart rate. I am up to 40 strokes standing. The workout was not what gave me strength, time and nerve regrowth did. I tried Physical Therapy and water aerobics and was still losing strength. My Chiro told me to do daily light work to try to fire non-responding muscles. Over time the nerves must have rerouted and strength came back. I am probably back to 50% of normal and may be stagnant there. This is NT mantra of exercizing to tolerance. Good Luck, Ken in Texas.
