Cliff,

Are we talking "I feel ill" or completion of feeling ill on the nausea? I have found with just about every medication I have tried or am on for pn there is a side effect involved. Gabapentin was too much for me too. I didn't start that low, it was 300 mg 3x a day I believe, but it was a short lived experiment. It was muddy brain more than nausea, but I think that played in.

On top of the other great ideas to mitigate nausea if it is passing "I don't feel right" variety you may want to see if that passes with time. While I am no longer on Lyrica it got me through a long time. It started becoming ineffective and when I became aware of hiw it affected me cognitively side effect wise I made a decision to try something else.

Right now I am on Topamax which keeps the shooting pains minimal if I don't overdo it, but does nothing for the buzzing (which give credit where it is due, Lyrica was pretty good at). Topamax still gives me a slight metalic taste in my mouth. Not fun. It beats the shooting pains, though. Quid pro quo, indeed.

I hope you find something useful that you can tolerate. This is a bear, this disease. Mindfullness is one of my best tools at the moment. It works sometimes better than others. I've also taken to reducing stress everywhere I can in my life
My almost 4 year old refuses to move out, though.

Kidding, I love the boy and he certainly takes my mindfullness into a Jedi framework.

Good luck, Cliff.Jon
