Ive lived in polluted Bangkok Thailand for the last 10 years and got PN around 7 years ago. Ive suffered like most with it starting with numbness in the soles of my feet and spreading across my body along with a red rash across my face that was itchy and treated with streriod cream
4 weeks ago I rented my place out on AIR BNB and went to a resort by the sea where I stayed for a month. Zero pollution and straight away zero pain so I ignored that because PN can be a sneaky SOB always turning up when you think you got it beat ! The whole 4 weeks was zero pain so I indulged in drinking beer and diet coke still zero pain but the numbness was still there of course. No rash on my face either. Returned back to Bangkok 4 days ago and instantly my itchy rash was back and today I'm walking with crutches the shooting pain is so bad in my feet. Im heading back to the sea again for good soon. I did google pollution and PN and apparently it can make the symptoms much more severe. For those of you that live in polluted cities I urge you to take an extended stay to an island somewhere if you can afford it, you never know.. |
