Everyday my burning starts to get worse around 3:00pm and continues until about 8pm. It gets somewhat better after I take gabapentin at 7:30pm. Could it be my brain knowing it's getting close to my evening dose? Btw I only take an evening dose. I also take most of my supplements in the morning so I'm wondering if I need to spread them out. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks. carol

I think it is an inflammatory thing. Late afternoon is when the first cortisol dip occurs. When I get this, I will take my AlkaSeltzer then.
The next big dip is 4am or so. That one is even worse IMO. If you sleep thru this you are lucky. If you are awake for whatever reason, good luck!

I can't live without the AlkaSeltzer.
Just make sure you don't get too dependent on it... it has aspirin in it after all. This form of aspirin is dissolved in water and less likely to stick around in the stomach and cause bleeding. But it is still possible. If you take any blood thinners, you need to have medical advice and supervision to use this. I buy the generic at WalMart: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Equate-Eff...-36ct/10324467

No mine's not time released. When I began with GP I was having twitches every night and could not sleep. It was prescribed mostly for that symptom. As the other symptoms started taking center stage my ex-neuro suggested I up my dose and take it 3 times a day. I chose not to because at this point my symptoms thankfully are not horrible during the day and the drug even at my low dose affects my brain.

Relative the thread, when I wake up in the morning, I "buzz" badly. It just feels like I have low-level current running through me, but no pain. The burning sets in for me in the early evening. |

It is likely my age bracket, but I've been known to ape Kurt Cobain around my house singing "Love Buzz" in the AM.
"Can you feel my love buzz? Can you feel my love... buzz!!!!!" Anyway... With the lights out, it's less dangerous. Jon Cobain

This happens to me, too. I absolutely hate it. I've read before you describe it as "gross". I wonder what it could possibly be. I've described it as a buzz and vibration, but a low level current is spot on. Could it be from the central nervous system? I'll never know. Just wish it would go all away. But I'm afraid this is it for me. It's been four years now. Thanks for sharing!
