I sprayed it on all over my feet and legs, so generously, and then rubbed it in. This was about 15-20 minutes before showering. It leaves a sort of greasy film on the body, which is why I washed it off. Thankfully I had no burning/skin reaction as some reviewers on Amazon report. I was worried about that.
I ordered it and am hopeful.
Thank you.

[QUOTE=mrsD;1197369]Yes, the topicals do get absorbed, but that depends on the vehicle delivering it.

Now that we know that Morton's lotion is discontinued, I have had to resort to recommending the first really good one...Kirkman. This was first developed for the autism community for children, and it has a dosing scoop included, for 100mg doses.

Why was the Morton's lotion discontinued ?

Thanks...Debi

Morton Epsom lotion -
They just decided to focus on other products...
there's a thread about it with info & links ,or more on Morton's site.
Though the lotion was still listed when the thread was active, but they replied to my email that is is discontinued..

I don't know it was discontinued for this reason, but they lost their shelf space at Wal Mart when they reduced their inventory by a few thousand items. I wouldn't be shocked if that is the main reason behind it.

I have three unopened bottles in my stash. I may make my own or just walk around with a scent, I'm not sure. I really like the consistency of this product as much as anything and the fact that a lotion gave me some relief.

It is never the hot poker into the bucket of water sort, but it is noticable and welcome.

Default An update

Well, I've been using this for a few nights now:

http://www.amazon.com/Life-flo-Pure-...+magnesium+oil

and it's pretty good. It puts me into a deep and relaxed sleep. I apply it about an hour or so before sleep, sometimes even two hours before. I then take a shower 30 minutes later, once my skin has absorbed it, and to wash off all the flaky white residue it leaves behind. Initially it burns and itches a little when applied as it's highly concentrated, but I avoid sensitive skin, basically my inner thighs, and use it very liberally all over my legs and feet. The very mild burning and itching disappear within minutes. I am going to try the lotion too now. So far it has given me very good sleep.

Just getting to the end of my current Morton's bottle, only to discover--belatedly--that it's discontinued. A clerk in Walmart directed me to Procure Epsom Salt Rub. It's unscented but has aloe "and essential oils." But it's pretty cheap, so I'll try it (but probably end up ordering the one MrsD recommends). I've told several other people with PN about Morton's and now they'll also learn that it's not available. Why do so many useful, affordable products get discontinued? Sigh.
