Default SFN Articles

Like so many of you, I suffer from Small Fiber Neuropathy. In addition I have Profound Peripheral Neuropathy.

Here are some resource articles that address some of our questions: What causes the pain? What has damaged the nerves? What are the treatments?
Will it ever go away?

Article from NIH publications:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3086960/

John's Hopkins, brief article:

http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/neuro...europathy.html

Neuropathy Journal:

https://neuropathyjournal.org/small-fiber-neuropathy/

Small Fiber Neuropathy may be accompanied by an extensive list of other autonomic system dysfunctions.

In and of itself, however, SFN is not dangerous to your life expectancy. It is frightening, but knowledge and good emotional support will help you learn to find ways to reduce or eliminate the discomfort and to help others who are suffering.

Hugs, ElaineD
