Default Gadolinium
Hello all,
I am 75% sure that gadolinium caused my neuropathy.
It is 2 years out from last contrast exposure and I am still peeing it out.
It might be someone else's problem too.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've talked about this before, but I'll say it again here. I had no exposure to gadolinium before my neuropathy, but afterward when I got the typical MRIs. They used it once for the brain MRI and I had an allergic reaction to it. My eyes went completely red, so I was rushed to the ER, and for about a day afterward both my arms were completely numb, shoulder to hand. So I have no difficulty imagining that it can be neurotoxic.

I know that Statins caused my PN and I wish that I had never taken them! I don't care much that perhaps I would have died without them but at least I wouldn't be suffering like I am now in both feet! I can just about keep mobile.

I've had at least 2 MRI's with contrast - one from 2005 and another from 2014. I've tested extremely high with gadolinium. Have you done a metals test? I've decided to chelate based on the recommendation of my LLMD and also Dr. Horowitz recommends it for Lyme patients with heavy metal issues. I'm going to retest soon. I'll try to post my results on NT.

Heavy metals X 2 and both were trace to low reference value results.

The gadolinium is not in the environment and has to be chelated to be made into contrast.
