Hi all,
I haven't heard you all talk about these symptoms yet, and thought I'd ask. My right side, muscles around the joints are very sore. Feels like I've been playing softball again. (Used to play for 25 years). My shoulder, elbow and right thumb feel as if I've over extended them, not just over used them. Like the muscles have been "pulled". I can't Lie on my right side, can't lift my right arm, and it's difficult to hold a pen in my right hand. (This has been going on for about four months now) I finally had to take some Ibuprofren last night. It is getting really painful, about a 6. No where near how my feet are, but enough to aggravate me. Mentioned it to the doc, but didn't even raise his eyebrow. Just checking to see if any of you have these symptoms in conjunction with your PN. Thanks! Terri |

Sorry to hear about your right arm.
Did you check for frozen shoulder? or Carpal tunel syndrome? Or t can be some kind of infection there. You should make your doctor look at it. Be well |

Just wondering if you might have had any falls to the right side of your body prior to this starting off, anyway seeing its been persistent for that long i would definatly get it checked out properly with xrays etc, to make sure everything is ok.
good luck Brian ![]() |

to a new doctor. I'd be very leary of a doctor who didn't raise an eyebrow or comment when I say I can't lay on a certain side. Have you been checked out for autoimmune problems like perhaps rheumatoid arthritis? If everything has been checked then get him to pay attention to your complaint by addressing it specifically. If you go to the doctor with a whole handful of complaints, the doctor will pick only what he considers the most important 1-3 to address. Time restrictions on his part.

I know for me my issues started in the one leg and moved to the other but still the major pain is in the left. My doc said its common to spread. I will say for me with my other symptoms like when I feel out of it,have more pain in the right leg,or dizzy my major area of the left feels better. I can still feel the pain but not as severe. So I wonder when the side area bothers you if your other issues are lessen? I agree you have to really push the issue if new symptoms because what I have noticed they just blow it off or say its part of the other but not really look deeper if that makes sense? I feel for me its a connection of all my issues and that connection could help in my treatment. Now its finding the right doc to go out of the square and look deeper or solve it myself. That is what is frustrating. Take care.
