All I've found so far is this:
3. There is usually no "malabsorption," in the sense that the amount of intestinal bile is sufficient to absorb the fat and vitamins necessary to remain healthy. (otherwise, we would not remove gallbladders with relative impunity.) http://www.medhelp.org/forums/gastro/archive/257.html I suppose that could vary from person to person.

I didn't look at tht link but when I was researching anorexia and deficiencies,damage so on I came across a link of gall bladder issues. So may be try anorexia and gall bladder. If I recall it talked about how the body empties slowly and hard to digest fats so on. It may also have similar issue to the gastric bypass Roxie would know more about that cause that has similar complication sometimes to anorexia.
