I think Sue was saying her mom had 300 pairs. Wow even 35 seems like a lot. I can only where good walking tennis shoes now. I'd wear a box on my feet if it made them feel better. Also through this pn my shoe size has went up 1 full size and they even feel tight.
Fanfare how do you like the aqua class? In pt I did pool therapy 1 time and the water at the clinic was freezing and there was some fast men swimmers so when the waves hit it felt like a gun shot to my legs. This was at the cleveland clinic. I was thinking of trying it again though in a calmer environment. I don't know about a class though I fear others. I wouldn't care if I was the only one in there 20's. There is a lady on my walk she is maybe 60or 70 and she flies by me. A little depressing but anything that helps with the pain I will put the other stuff aside. Melody I hope the eyelashes grow soon. Lots of healthy fats,I think biotin is good for growth, and protein |

Daniella:
Fanfaire said that she had 35 pairs of shoes. I've never had 35 pairs of anything in my entire life. At least I have my crocks. I wear them absolutely everywhere. I don't even put the sling thing behind the ankle. I just use them as slip ons. Whoever designed these things, well, my hats off to these people. Oh, you all will enjoy this little gem. Today, Alan and I went on the bus to go shopping. The bus was very crowded. Some 40 something lady asked me if I wanted a seat. Do you realize what happened to me today??? Some 40 something lady asked ME, if I wanted a seat. I wanted to bop her on the head. Alan got hysterical. I politely said 'no thank you". Then when someone got off later on during the ride, I sat in THAT seat. The 40 something lady gave me a look as if to say "why didn't you sit when I offered you my seat"?. I've officially reached old age. My God!!! Some 40 year old woman got up to offer me a seat. I've go to go and buy some skin creme......lol Melody

The aquacise has preserved my mobility because I can do things in the water, like knee bends, that I can't do on land. My feet hurt much less while walking in a warm pool. I am convinced that without this exercise, I'd be in a wheelchair full time instead of part time. And the retirees have befriended me. I got to go to an 80th birthday party a few weeks ago. I think it is healthy to have friends of all ages. ![]() fanfaire ![]()

Amen to having friends of all ages.
My friend Millie passed away two years ago at the age of 86. The lady across the street (who invited all the neighbors into her home every single day of her life for coffee on fine china cups, and she baked her famous S cookies), (we did this for 10 years), well she died at age 96. The lady who owns the house on the corner of my block (and who continues to do her own shopping), and she sits outside with us sometimes on a warm summer night), well she turns either 99 or 100 this year, (we can't be sure). She was married in 1915. And my friend around the corner who is 75 once told me "all my friends are dead, I never thought I would have another friend". So what did I do for her birthday in August? I took a photo that her grandaughter took of the both of us and her little dog, I put that photo in a lovely frame, and when they gave her a party in her backyard, I presented her with that picture frame. That gift meant more to her than what everybody else gave her. It told her "people can make friends at ANY age". Most of my friends are older than I am. I hope I can continue to make new acquaintances and new friends as I grow up. I'm still growing and learning new stuff every day. I'm the person, who when they get on a bus and sits down next to someone, well, we'll start to have a conversation for a half hour. Alan looks at me with amazement. He says "how do you do that?" Yesterday we traveled on various buses along our shopping expedition. We got on one bus for about 10 minutes. About 6 stops to the bus stop near our home. By the time I got off, the person in front of me had offered to let me put all my packages on top of her lap, the lady next to her started talking about school kids on buses and about how noisy they are, and in 2 minutes we were talking like we knew each other for years. Alan was sitting across from us and just looking. He is starting to do this (to be more sociable). It's a learned trait. To him it never came natural. I once told him "you can't be married to be and not learn to be sociable" Now I can't take him anywhere. He talks to everybody. lol Melody
