I have a good question. I have about 8 pair of crocs. No pair cost more than $3.99.

All colors. They are similar but some have more holes on the side, They all have holes by the way. None of them are solid on the top.

Some have the pinchy things inside (hence the need for good socks). Some don't have the pinchy things inside.

I have seen these shoes in Diabetic catalogues. On Ebay. In my Food Smart Catalogue. In Payless Shoe Stores.

In the catalogues I've seen them for $39.95. In payless they are $29.95

Like I said. I paid no more than $3.99

Now I believe these are made of some kind of rubber. All of them feel exactly alile.

Because I really never looked at the $39.95 or the $59.99 (yeah, I've seen these also). But is there a difference??

Are they made differently?? Is the material in a pair of $59.99 crocs different than my $3.99 crocs.

I mean, when you look at them, THEY LOOK EXACTLY ALIKE!!!

Anybody know if there's a difference??

Thanks

Drink up, Shiney Sue! Melanie, I know that the Croc company got a patent on the material that their shoes are made of, so I would guess that the other brands have some imitation rubber type stuff. I don't know if they are apprecialbly different or not. I do know that one thing I like about mine is the cushion-y soles and the arch support, so I have been reluctant to try another, cheaper brand. I will say that mine have lasted FOREVER, also, but maybe the cheaper ones do also. We should do some consumer testing....! Considering the $100+ I had been paying for shoes, I have always thought that the $30 Crocs ere a bargain.

I'm back

There should be a law against Glucerna,it's so nasty,I'm alive and it doesn't
break my teeth, but the after taste is just like that stuff Bob had to
drink before Bob got ensure..He's kept saying no more,Sue you drink
it,see what I mean, yukkkkk No wonder the 96 yr. old woman try to attack
me..There was a family who what told there mother was goinng to have
to stay on this stuff, and since Bob wasn't complaining could I sit
with her 8 children and brag on still can't remember the name..It was
very expensive by the case...She was just telling her children they
could split it up,because that after taste, well let's say came close to
crap..After that taste of Bob's I wasn't about to lie,that poor sweet
thing deserved better, she was 96...I'm not going to be 96 yrs. old
and drinking Glucerna, today I got lucky that stuff when right through
me,we are going to try my veggie,jucier...oh please work.

Well the week before Chistmas Dr. amy and big Jewish family was in
town for a speech ,and she got award...And beleive me her Mother
and Step-mother are very tiny and elegant just lovely...Now i lost
weight but i'm running around worried for a month,thinking it's a nice
resturant, but im Mo. it could be freezing or 70,well what shouldi I wear,
as far as shoes i had a somes crocks and a kinda cute pair of di shoes.
Well I got out and it was sleeting a little but had to get my hair done
and look around for something pretty to wear..Now i have small hands and
bet i could put hands around those skinning little waists...Well by than
those cute Di shoes were killing my feet. My son came up said your going to
cry,yes....No your not whst's wrong ,held up my cute royal blue outfit.
That's great let's go,I point at my feet, they hurt even sitting down.
So in my wheelchair we fly to Dillors they got new crocks no holes nooo
well they did in men's department, come on mom let's get them and go.

It's really a mess now we get in Bob told Ryan get dressed i'll help her,
and we will both be downstairs,so first clothes, lost weigh it's to big.
Boy you lost weight that's to big. So he finds one of the girls, same
color, my son's yelling get it on Mama,it fit yes now for the holeless crocks,
way to big,my atrophy feet just kept walking out of them. So my son
comes running down with crocks and my feet are going to freeze they
have holes and they ladies will be staring.

So bad,we get in van and it's slippery,oh boy,we sled on the way to
fancy resturant, college town nobody stays home,Bob and Ryan had
to park way down,my electric wheelchair flew over the ice,no snow on me
no wet feet,Bob and Ryan look like wet rats, I think there is nobody
staring at the crocks,at the end Ryan is walking me around saying
helo goodby and who pays attention to my shoes the men...They
were all teasing me something firece, but on the way out as they started
slidding and falling all over the parking lot,and i was laughing because
I had no trouble getting to the vam in my holely shoes, Bob said why
are those women wearing high heel shoes....I love Crocks

Karen I called you Cathie give Baxter my little sweet kitty fuzzy kisses.
Baxter is a beautifull kitten with big doggie feet...lol hugs to you all

Mr big foot just bit me in the foot cause I wasnt paying enough attention to him I guess - want him? He's on thin ice!

On healthy food - when I could eat instead of my yummy ensure - I used to buy sometimes frozen dinners and lots of others goodies at Traders Joes - they were healthy - low cholesterol, etc.... and not expensive..... I dont know if the stores are only on the west coast - but the whole store is good healthy and reasonably priced stuff!

Can you eat baby food at all? I actually had a little bottle of it today - no fiber or fat (which of course is very hard to digest) - and it seems to be doing ok so far.... maybe try some of that for now??

B good!:)

shiney sue 02-03-2008 12:47 AM

:) Hi -on the baby food - I tried it several weeks ago and ugh - so when I got some more made sure all the ingredients complied with the gasgtroparsis diet - even though the stuff is mush - it can upset your stomach if its not mellow - non-fiberous - non acid stuff!

We are lucky to have our kids eh?

On your teeth - if they can be fixed now - do it!!!!!!!! I had a delay after a PN related fall out of the shower - insurance didnt want to pay - had to fight like crazy - I think I suffered much more damage cause of the wait! Ended up with 3 1/2 hours of surgery in the hospital (and since I cant take opiates nothing stronger then tylenol for pain - OUCH) - cracked jaw, had to have bone graft - but had no idea until after the surgery had bad it had been - also, they had to yank teeth which your medical insurance will NOT pay to replace - so you need a bazillion dollars or a super medical plan!!!!!! I'm a terrible dental patient - but get thee to a dentist if you can!!!!! It can only get worse!!!!!!

MelodyL 02-03-2008 04:54 PM

OH my, what horror stores. Insurance won't pay for dental this, or dental that. They want you all to be toothless??

I'm telling you, (and I'm not kidding), we should all move to France (if we were able to I mean).

They take care of people far better than this country.

This is supposed to be the Land of the free and the brave??? yeah, brave to go to a dentist and lose all of our money, besides our teeth!!

Good Lord

shiney sue 02-03-2008 05:42 PM

Joan told me to get to denist right away, but insurance willl pay if i
have sugery from fall but not at dentist..The one has to have something
done..Ny sister in law had bone grafting and she said they put something
in her jaw that drove her nuts...Some relatives like the one i mentioned
thinks everyone makes thensleves sick ,unless it happens to her.she's nuts,
well that's not nice, she drives everyone nuts.

The nurse called sub. Dr. about baby food he told her what to get at health
food store. It tasted good, boy it takes forever to get into one as well.
Poor Siverlady having hard time. And Karen I don't know how you do it
bless you must be Baxter, may be my husband he said he was coing back as a
kitty cat.lol hugs all Sue I don't like being put to sleep for sugery, they would knock all my teeth out,the way things are going.Mel may have the right idea
it's no 1 in getting things done and fast...
