Hello,
I am reading a recommended book "Inflammation Nation" by Chilton. He explains in detail the omega-6 and omega-3 pathways on page 112,113: omega-6 pathway: LA -> GLA -> DGLA -> AA omega-3 pathway: ALA -> SDA -> omega-3AA -> EPA LA = linoleic acid AA = arachidonic acid ALA = alpha linolenic acid AA is inflammatory, and GLA can be converted to AA (not good). So you always want to take sufficient EPA to block that conversion. He explains it better with pictures, etc. cheers, gordon Quote:
