Default 'Quick Post' is 'Iffy'

Anybody else have trouble with this? I used to use it all the time, but it seems that lately it doesn't work some days when I sign on, other days it does. "Post Reply" always does, but the 'quick post' button is chancy. Same goes true for the smileys. Also the formatting won't work. I try to hit the return bar to start a new paragraph and it continues to run on in the same paragraph. Cannot put a space between lines. I think I'll post this on the forum feedback as well.

At the Computer forum, jo55 said to do this:
Have you cleared your cache and maybe cookies too for this site and then close your browser and reopen then log back on?
.........and it worked!
I'm now posting this in the 'Quick' box.
Thanks

To me, if you don't need to use smileys, and the like- it is easiest to click 'quick' and more quickly be able to write a short comment. It also posts almost immediately. Its on the same line as 'quote' and most of us use that frequently.
I think its a valuable feature, rather than the 'post reply'.

I have a question. Where the heck is Quick Reply icons?.

I went down the the bottom of the page and saw a place where you can type in a reply. I hit the Post Quick reply and I was prompted to "Please click one of the Quick Reply icons in the Post".

What quick reply icons? Can't find them.

Thanks, Mel

It's the one with a pencil and paper - hover your cursor over it and it will have pop up telling you what it is.

Okay, I hit the pencil and the paper and I'm now writing this. This is supposed to be DIFFERENT than hitting the word REPLY??? Really???

Maybe I'm clueless, but it's the same amount of time for me.

But hey, at least I learned what QUICK REPLY means!!!
