The Neuropathy Assn (TNA) has arbitrarily assigned a week and would
like to think it can speak for all of us PN sufferers, but it really doesn't do much other than fund research. It has a really poor PR, and public awareness program. This week has been its 'cause' week for a few years, now. The Assn has been under scrutiny in the past for its non-disclosure of officers and finances- even tho it is registered as a '.org' - non-profit. It does charge a membership fee to be a full member, but you can sign up for free for BB access, and a few other features on the site. It really hasn't been strong enough to be recognized as THE voice for neuropathy sufferers, even tho that is its only thrust.
