Not alot, but some.

When my husband was in Vietnam, he said they would get cases of TAB and
Fresca for free....even the local Vietnamese would NOT drink it! LOL
Couldn't give it away! LOL I think TAB was the first diet soda ever, tho.

I think it has been reformulated now.

Personally I like Coke Zero. But I don't drink sodas very often or much.
Coke Zero tastes like real Coke with Zero calories and much less aspartame.

When the weather heats up, I probably will have more soda.. I rotate with Diet Green tea.
The problem with pop/soda is that the phosphates cause bone density problems. If you have bone density issues sodas can make it much worse and if you don't have issues if you drink enough soda you will have.

http://enews.tufts.edu/stories/092503Tucker.htm

“Tufts University researcher Katherine Tucker examined the bone mineral density readings of more than 2,500 adult men and women and surveyed their soft-drink consumption patterns,” reported The Los Angeles Times. “She found that women – but not men – who drank more than three, 12-ounce servings of cola per day had 2.3 to 5.1 percent lower bone mineral density in the hip compared with women who consumed less than one serving per day.”

So as my mom always says, everything in moderation.

Lightbulb yes,

The phosphate containing drinks have always been suspicious.
Notice it said "cola"... not all carbonated drinks are high in phosphate.
So read your labels carefully.

Some people really are "addicted" to Diet Coke... I think I'd die if I drank it more than I do. Older folks have carbonation issues, at least I do. I often let my soda sit a while, go flat.

Then thank the lord that I never liked any cola drinks (except for that Tab phase I went through).

I had a bone density test about 18 months ago. Not only did I NOT HAVE OSTEOPENIA any more. I tested just fine.

So I don't complain one bit about having to give up any soda.

I'm not a soda drinker. I like flavored beverages with splenda.

If I don't have any, I drink water with ice (from my Brita Water pitcher with the sensor on it ....that I got on Ebay).

Hey, the day they tell us that water is killing us, well, I'm done.

lol
