I have been studying, and mixing my own "potions" with essential oils just since march, but I have learned so much, my rosacea is mostly all cleared up, I refuse to pay big bucks to buy anti-aging creams, when I can make my own.I went to the NEURAGEN site, and saw what they put into it, and am going to try to re-create it myself, as soon as the ingredient I am missing gets here. After ALOT of research, I have made a potion for the pain in my feet, and it actually does work!! And doing it myself is so much cheaper than buying creams from the Pharmacy. But it does involve weeks and weeks of research. I will keep you all posted!

Default neuragen

YES it does work for nerve pain, and it works FAST! yes its expensive, but i use it on a qtip and only when my pain is so intense i cant sleep or be human without it.
unlike all the other stuff out there that is supposed to work, and you pay more than is really smart, this stuff does do what they say it does. i have not found anything else that will really put the pain "to sleep" like neuragen does. it works for a couple of hours, but those hours a are true blessing! it doesnt take much at all, so apply just a bit, like i said i use a qtip and just a drop and then use it to apply where the pain is really horrid. you will find ads for this product in all the diabetic magazines, for diabetic neuropathy, that is how i first found out about it. it can be hard to find at the drug store, but i found it in the diabetic area along with all the other creams and lotions that dont work. i think i have tried them all.

i hope this helps someone out there. anything that works, we should all share with others!

Most of the positive results for this ointment are from new posters, if you represent this company (neuragen) please say so. Thanks

Hi,

I'm not representing the company (which is Origin BioMed, not Neuragen). I just wanted to share my mother and her friend's success with Neuragen (which is a topical solution, not an ointment). I'd suggest that people try it for themselves, like my mother did, and decide for themselves if it helps with their particular pain. My mom also got a $5 off coupon for Neuragen by e-mailing the company from their Neuragen website.

Thumbs up Neuragen clinical paper published

Hello all,

Thought this might be of interest to all who were asking about Neuragen.

Clinical research on the effect of Neuragen on neuropathic pain has been published in a peer-reviewed clinical publication.

The trial concluded:

"Neuragen provided significant relief from neuropathic pain in an all cause neuropathy group. Participants with diabetes within this group experienced similar pain relief."

The Neuragen publication is available online at biomedcentral:

biomedcentral.com/1472-6882/10/22

Well, it MIGHT work for some people, but it DOESN'T work for others. It did NOTHING for my husband, and last week we went to the Peripheral Neuropathy support group meeting in NYC and all of us share what we have used for our pain.

One guy stood up and said: 'I tried this Neuragen stuff, and IT DID NOTHING".

So what works for some doesn't do the trick for others.

Yes, according to the clinical paper, it was effective for about 80% of the people who were in the trial. So I guess those who don't find it effective are in the other 20%. Still, 80% efficacy is better than many prescription products without the side effects. Certainly worked for those I know.

Cheers,

Silas.

The active ingredient is the geranium oil, which is available in larger amounts for much less money elsewhere. (iherb for example).

In fact the geranium oil has a patent, you can find on the net.

I find the number of patients in these reports rather low.

But if it works for you fine. I'll take a pass on it myself.

Thumbs up Neuragen active ingredients

Sorry, but in the interest of having accurate information on the forum, I must correct what you have said regarding the active ingredients in Neuragen.

I've looked at the product label when my mother purchased Neuragen and I've also found a copy of the label on the Neuragen website neuragen.com/labels/neuragen-pn.php and the active ingredients are the homeopathic ingredients, not the oils. You are incorrect on this.

Also, the Neuragen literature that you have referenced appears to be very out of date (the product packaging on the website where you got this paper isn't even the one that's been on the market for the past couple of years). Neuragen actually has 5 homeopathic active ingredients not just one, as indicated in this old paper. This appears to be a really old paper on an old formulation of Neuragen that isn't on the market any longer. The current formulation of Neuragen can be seen on the label that I put the URL for above. If you want to see a summary of the current clinical results for the formulation of Neuragen that's on the market now, I've found it at: neuragen.com/pdf/Neuragen_Trials.pdf

Also, to say that the number of patients in the trial is 'low' is irrelevant as the results were double-blinded and statistically significant versus placebo and were published in a peer-reviewed journal, and that's all important, scientifically (my science background coming through there).

Just want to keep the info on this product that really helped my mother accurate and up-to-date.

Like you say, if Neuragen works for you, then great. They have a money back guarantee on Neuragen anyway, so no harm in trying it.

Cheers,

Silas.
