I have read that you should take the methyl b12 on empty stomach, but Jarrow lozenges directions say take with meal. Why the empty stomach even though it goes against directions?
Thanks! |
I have answered
this question on the vitamin forum.
(Don't believe everything you read on supplement labels) Also do not be lured in by "timed release" for B12. This is useless and may render your absorption to nil. Timed release IS useful for Vit C. Supplement suppliers are not research oriented. They package things that have a market. With complex supplements like SAMe you might find some backup on use (this is because Europe extensively researched it before it came here). But with most common things, they don't. I assume that people show up here because "something" is not working right in your body. So assuming good intrinsic factor in patients with neuro symptoms is not a good assumption. |
Is this what I should take? And how many per day? When should I notice any effect?

I once bought a cheaper brand and I felt different. So I stick with the Jarrows. But the link you provided, well, that's the dosage that I take every morning. Also my husband has taken this for about 3 weeks now (although he misses some days). He just got his blood tests results. His number is 2000. I shudder to think what mine might be. Probably 5000. lol but for me, that's fine. I'll take another blood test in a few months. Thank goodness our primary care physician supports our taking the Methyl B-12. Melody |
yes, that will work.
Take it orally on an empty stomach, and see what happens in the 60days it is worth. It has to be on an empty stomach. Food will interfere with its absorption. |
Thanks, both.
I cannot buy it in that store, because I don't have a credit card :( but I will look in Dutch webshops or perhaps real shops, it's just that now I know what I should have and how to use it. |

We don't use any bank cards on the internet. It's safer to use these prepaid ones. Do they have these things in the Netherlands? Melody |

It's only Europe you know, lots of farmers and wooden shoes and that sort of things around here :p |

I completely understand. Thanks for clearing it up. Take care, Melody |
My B12 is 96 from a blood test 3 days ago...
I just found out today that i have a B12 level of 96 also. It is random, but true. I have been super-tired for a while. I get distracted much easier than i used to. My fingers and hands have been falling asleep while I sleep at night. I am shedding like crazy. After reading up on this today, it seems like I have found out why. Now the recovery... I guess. Not sure what my next steps are, but appreciate hearing your stories. Can't wait to feel like a human being again!!!
