Default Muscle Spasms/EMG

I'm having new muscle spasms in a new area. Up until now the muscle spasms other then toe cramps have been confined to the right side of my body. Yesterday they started in my lower left leg/ankle/bottom of foot.

The spasm is pulling my foot down. I try the usual stomp down on your toes to stop it but it will not let go until it is good and ready. This has been really painful for me because that ankle is fused with plates/screws from my car accident and there is little to no range of motion in that ankle. These spasms make it feel like my ankle is going to snap.

I called my GP today to see it there is anything we can do between now and when I see the PN specialist in late November. He wants to see me tomorrow.

My question is...if he rx's something for the spasms....will it interfere with my EMG results in November?

Kelly
