Lightbulb yes...

The only one I know of is Delsym.

It is a liquid. Formulated with a resin for 12 hr actions. It is expensive and it gave me diarrhea. ( I cannot tolerate fructose or sugars, and this is sweetened with both).

I actually like the guaifenesin...it helps with my sinuses and ear problems.

The tablets are much less nauseating than the liquid cough form typically called Tussin DM (Robitussin DM).

I am still coughing like crazy.. it alarms my husband when at 2am I start again (the tablet wears off by then)...but the stuff I cough and blow out is clear and not infected. Just nuisance phlegm.

Because of the abuse of DM by kids now...it is hard to find a DM product that you can afford. Both Costco and Sam's no longer sell the generic Tussin DM.

At 80mg/24 hrs, I still have foot relief. I can tell when it wears off too. 4am and no tablet, and my feet start to hurt again. So around 2am I get up and take my 4 th dose of the 24 hr period.

DM is contraindicated for people taking any TCA (Elavil) or SSRI antidepressant including Cymbalta, or any MAO inhibitor.
