Default Plastic cover for microwaved vegetables

Dear Bob:

Thanks for the warning about those plastic films in the microwave. As Melody has, I have a hard plastic cover thingie that I got at the grocery store a couple of years ago - it sounds exactly like Melody's cover. I love the thing and it just fits over my dinner plates which have a silver edging that arcs if not covered - these are antiques but I use them and they are holding up fine. I rarely even have that thin plastic stuff on hand - I do have good old fashioned wax paper and thanks Bob for reminding me of that. It handles more easily too. I am old fashioned in many ways.

What would we do without these helpful hints? I love it.
