it is a possibility.
There could be a tumor on the parathyroids or thyroid or a goiter that is pressing on a nerve. I had a one sided goiter that pressed on my laryngeal nerve, and changed my voice, for example.

Or you could have a swollen gland on one side due to infection, or even a <shudder> lymphoma.

That is why I think an examination is necessary.

When evaluating a side effect from a drug or supplement one needs to know that those do not cluster like that in one special area. Reactions would be more global.

Catching a serious thing in the throat early is the best prognosis if something dire is happening.
Thanks MRSD. Hummm, if it happens again before my Neuro appt. maybe I should pop it to see my GP. I stopped the COQ10 the day after my original post. That would have been March 14th. No change in the gastro issues. Maybe I should wait a little longer before starting it back up again?

I had one of those throat/neck spasms bring me out of a dead sleep. Nasty buggers good thing they don't last long. I've been assuming they are CMT related. Maybe not such a good assumption!

Please post how you come out at the appointment. Are you also having DNA blood testing for CMT for all the types that they can now test for? I assume the neurologist knows CMT. Thank you.

Hi Kitt, yes he is a CMT specialist. Not sure if they are doing the whole panel right away. I will know more after the appointment and will post as soon as I can that day.

Thank you for the link MRSD! Interesting info. I'll try to do some more research on that!

I found this link interesting. If you scroll down to the picture where they make an incision......that is the location where I get tiny mucle knots that if i push on them can trigger a headache. Have had these tiny knots on and off for years.
