Book i do not understand

why people with chronic pain do not take morphine? i have had PN for 10 years that was caused by ZOCOR. three months after taking ,my PN started. i tried all kinds of medicine. my VA.pain doc tried it all. five years ago he said Morphine.i started with one a day. to get relief in one year i was takeng 240 mg a day. it gave me the relief to continue living until i could help myself with vitamins. i am very tolerent of side effects and had no real problems. last year i slowly lowered my intake of Morphine to 1 30mg. a day. the vitamins are working. i believe Morphine slow release can be used by most people. Zocor destroyed my mylien sheath i know in me heart. the vitamins i take are primarly to regrow the mylien. my pain is usually 1-2 and sometimes flares up to 4-5. i believe with the help of Jesus and my vitamins i will be cured or die trying. either way i win. i have been a member for 6 years and with thge help from this forum and lots of research i am living proof some people can beat or at least live with this desease. my prayers are with all people who have chronic PAIN. GEORGE
