I won't pontificate....it's just that IPN is one heck of a rollercoaster.

Amen jakatak. A rollercoaster ride that I want to get off of.... I will never understand why this disease goes too such extremes going up and down. Of course in all of our fantasies we will wake up one morning with this horrid condition in total downside mode......and then it stays there for good! ![]() |

I never rode hose rides. Hated them.
Didn't do a thing for me. Don't care for heights. Wasn't into 'thrills'. So what happens........................!?!?! Some days its a real bummer. Woke up yesterday realizing that I was in withdrawal Overall aches, Headache, Gagging, coughing, nausea, BM's.........everything. Forgot to take my meds at 10:00 Sat Nite. Fell asleep early. I still feel like crap. Flu-like sx. Scratchy throat, throat feels like closing. I'll wait a few days & if it doesn't get better, off to the doc. I work in an area with many Mexican immigrants. Handle money. Try to wash my hands frequently. Don't need a real case of the flu. Some days are a real bummer.

It's just so depressing. Today I got up, took my pain meds, took my blood pressure meds, took my heart arrhythmia meds, and later my supplements. I feel like a frigging pharmacy. I told the pharmacist that he might as well set up a cot for me in the back because I am there so much. Then again, we just have to thank the lord that we do have these meds. The only thing that I constantly hope for is some kind of break through with finding a medication that deals with nerve pain right off the bat for everyone. Imagine that? Just taking a pill and your nerve pain goes right away? Better yet why not just a cure for PN. Now that one is going to take awhile......but it's sure nice to think about.

I understand the mental ups and downs. It can be hard to face the day. I have been on a road of rocky emotions and it goes hand in hand with my pain level and any new conditions of course. I have just went back to a psychtrist which actually I see today again. So far no change in mood/sleep and I still have mixed feelings about going again but am willing. My gramps who is 85 is more active then me and in better health so it is sort of depressing My mom though is my hope and strength and I hope I find a better treatment as I go back for another procedure tomorrow since my iv failed. Will see. I guess one day at a time and like in past threads holding to hope
