The statins vary in their ability to enter fatty tissue ..
Since the brain and nerves are composed of lipids (fats), the more
lipophilic statins will have a larger impact on nervous tissue.

Zocor is very lipophilic and enters the brain.
Lipitor is a moderate lipophilic type.
