Hello Sephchu, I want to welcome you to Neuro Talk. There is also a good dental forum on this site. Use the search bar up at the top of the page if you would like to. You have found a very compassionate site, and many people will be able to say hello and address your concerns.
The most knowledgeable that I have met here is Bryanna. She has some wonderful insites on dental issues. I have had a reaction to nerve blocks in particular. I got alot of tingling, shocky feelings for quite awhile after the proceedure. The last time I had a tooth removed last week, I was put to sleep, but still had the shot and didn't get a reaction. I am not sure why there was a difference in the two injections and their reactions. Keep posting, and someone may be able to address your concerns. I am sincerely hoping I don't have to go back for another dental visit for awhile ![]() |

Although I've had sole and cheek tingling in the past, which would go away, I never had constant numbness or burning until just AFTER my wisdom teeth were removed. This happened in July. 2 weeks later I had an ingrown toenail occur, and ever since my toes, then feet both bottom and top, then ankles, and calves have not been normal. I took longer to heal than most, only 2 wisdom teeth removed and I couldn't eat anything for a good month. I went back to the dentist 3 times. So all I ate were liquid/soft foods full of sugar. For one whole month. It was exactly around that time that some of my other issues got much WORSE.
I have questioned whether my teeth extractions have something to do with this. I only received novacaine. Although earlier in the year I had the nitrous when I had some fillings. |

Don't hesitate to post to Bryanna. I am so sorry you are experiencing worseing congiditon. Some neuro problems creep up regardless of dental proceedures. I did have what I call NP in my jaw after a nerve block. I don't know what caused the issue, I just know it hurts. I do recommend talking to Bryanna as she has 35 years in the field and has heard of many issues. I hope you find and answer, and can get rid of the problem.ginnie

I'd get blood work ASAP for this...to see if you are low. In people borderline low, it will tip them into deeper lower numbers. In people with really high levels, it may not affect them unless done repeatedly. http://jama.ama-assn.org/content/255/12/1605.abstract

I go monday to my PCP I will ask him about B12. I do have to have Nitrous as my bP sky rockets without it, last time was 160/95 when I got home. Thank you for the information on that and of theanine. I appreciate your knowledge about these medications. I do get a reaction that feels like NP in my jaw. ginnie
