We were just camping & had both dogs with us. True, it did say dogs were to be on leash but John thought it would be OK not too. We were not looking one day & Candie started after a lady & her pomeradian(sp). Candie wouldn't hurt but could knock you over and want to play (she weighs 103 lbs.) then John called her & she came back. Anyway, the camp cop came to tell us to put both on a leash (Minnie only uses 3 legs & stays by the pop-up or inside just laying). John got upset & since Candie is really our DD's dog & he took her home that night & Minnie too

Well, I'm glad the camp cop was nice and just said something instead of giving a ticket. I know you know your dogs, but still, the leash law is the law.
And it's there partly for your dog's protection, not just to burden you. The other person might have had something bigger than a pom, you know? And what if they had disreguarded the leash, thinking it would be okay not to?
