I'm sorry to hear that Shadow went to the Rainbow bridge. The pain of losing a furbaby is horrible. I have lost 3 dogs and 1 horse within a 6 wks period. They were all adopted from rescues, and I know they had a wonderful life with me. All but my horse passed in my arms. On just about each day that one passed, we went out and rescued another one. We knew each was getting on. One was 18, one was 16, one had liver cancer, and the horse was almost 40. They didn't suffer and had love around them. I know that each one wanted me to remember them by saving another one that has been abused and was unwanted. I did. Even to long term fostering of an elder horse again. The ones that no one wants. each one of my babies touch my heart and taught me something about live and about myself. I feel that when their job was done, the went to the bridge to be young and happy and free from pain. They wanted to make room for another furbaby that needed me. We will all meet again, on the bridge, to be together once more, in each others arms. Please remember that Shadow is running and playing and no longer has pain. They time will come when you will be together again.

Hugs
Mary

Oh Chemar,

so sorry to hear about Shadow.
Thinking of you at this time, when your house will be a bit more empty than usual.
take care

Default Chemar, I understand...

they aren't friends, the critters are FAMILY! And I will bet you that they are watching over you and you will KNOW they are soon!
For me it's been the living room drapes 'moving' only as they could if a cat were at the window behind them! Or, a 'thud' as he or another one had just jumped off the kitchen counter after 'checking out' the sink? Or, even the 'almost' tickle of fur against my leg. Know they are caring and keeping watch. And you are safe and loved.
Also that others know and understand your losses.

's in multiple heaps is the best I can do from here? So take them and let them try and help keep you warm!
I'm betting that Shadow will steer another beast in need your way soon. It happens? It's happened to me! Just when it was right and good. Wait and see? You mite be surprised. Hope always truly - j

I'm so sorry ... I've lost 3 cats to old age and cancer and it hurts so much.

I hope you have dealt with this okay. Wait a while and then try out another cat, you will never replace your Shadow but cats are all cool!
