YES.... please get me the name of that repellent. We also are not into killing things. But we could really use that repellent now, to keep them away from the HOUSE!

Lightbulb

Try giving them some bird seed. Our "hogs" eat what falls under the bird feeder, and that holds them until the dandylions get going along the highway. I think that is the only thing that is
saving my plants! Of course that is risky, as they may like you too much!

Do you have a neighbor you don't like? Maybe after dark you could 'seed' his yard

Shocked

Twenty groundhogs is quite a bit. We are not in that category.

We have one for sure, and maybe two, and I've seen babies a few times, but not every year. So for us, it is a very different story. They will reach a point where they starve.

Rabbits do this and have an 11 yr cycle. Once they reach a certain # in the population, they die off. Last year we had a jillion chipmunks and I am NOT kidding! This year so far we have not seen ANY. They have to be up and about by now? The groundhogs are out, the bunnies are out... so maybe our chipmunks have bottomed out too?

My daughter talked to a Ag science professor at the University here and he said that many can die during hibernation and when they emerge to early in the spring and have no greens to eat that will sometimes take them.

We are trying to introduce ours the gun fire everyday....we will either get them or scare them off...gotta happen!

Spray the tunnel entrances with bobcat or coyote urine (you can buy it at places like Bass pro or Cabelas). Every time they dig a new one, go spray a few drops into the entrance. They will quickly figure out that the offending "bobcat/coyote" doesn't live in the neighbor's yard...
