This is to be seen to be believed. Yet, having actually seen wild turkeys in the 'wild'? I believe it!
. I suppose it's better than those Canada Geese last year who decided to attack police cars? Dunno how those bird brains work... But fun to see. - j |

Of course, rats, but raccoons, possums, deer, stray black/brown bears, and even inside the DC beltway 'wolves' [and NOT native wild dogs].
As for the turkeys? I'd had a friend w/a farm 'way out' in the 'country'...they were beseiged by Canada Geese! Hundreds on a 10-15 acre area! I can't tell you how deliteful soo much bird poop was, nor how slippery when wet! It was amazing that EVERY SINGLE BIRD totally disappearred one hour BEFORE the state game warden came to 'view the problem' -alas, no birds. LOTS of poop!, but no birds? No problem. NOTHING TO DO HERE, NOW.... Sigh. They were back in force the next day for sure! I have seen wild turkeys in their more native habitats...there they are magnificent and beautiful creatures. On Staten Island tho? We've had tho rarely, eagles, vultures, hawks, pileateds and other birds here in my neighborhood, one can hear geese migrating from one lake/pond to others going south or north during the seasons. But, no turkeys yet! At least we don't have Peacocks! Yet.... Hugs to all! - j |
