"just what the doctor ordered ........."
I went to the local humane society because the counselor I was seeing sent me there. She said over and over that she thought I would enjoy looking at the cats ... she was NOT suggesting that I adopt or anything - I should just look.

Oh, Lordy......I could never go there. I'd want to take them all home!
.
I don't now how you can go and not want to bring at least one home. Or did you bring two?

The humane society IS a very, very difficult place to visit but I knew I could take good care of two.
Cat Woman - what you call the woman in charge of cats - tried hard to get me to take five .... oh, how she pushed
.
My goodness, it cost $263 to take these two!
A bit after I got them (or they got me) I was telling my counselor about their latest antics and she had a funny grin. I asked her what was funny and she said that she had been seeing me for a year and I would occasionally, but not often. smile in a group meeting and she had never once heard me laugh. Now she heard me laugh every week.
Funny thing - she has 3 dogs she adores.

Animals are the miracle medicine for alot of folks. Mine make me laugh and smile every single day. I cannot imagine a life without them.

Wink

A recent portrait of hubby and Houdini:

He carries the cats around (well, Weez doesn't like it much),
but Oreo and Houdini love to be babied this way.

She looks "regal" in this photo, but she is not normally.
Not much catatude in her makeup.
.
She is very sweet and loving, and easily frightened/spooked.
