Hi there,
You will probably be aware that our 13 year old Springer Spaniel had a nasal tumour. Last night Ben could not walk, he had to be carried everywhere. Overnight Ben's condition got worse. We rang the vet who told us to come down to the vet's asap, so we did. The vet examined Ben and told us that the tumour had spread to his brain and that he was brain dead. The vet said he only had about an hour to live, so we decided to have him put to sleep to save him from suffering anymore. At one moment the vet thought that Ben had died, but he had not. Bens blood pressure was low and his temperature was really high. I feel guilty for having him put to sleep, but I am sure it was the best thing for him. Me, my mom and dad have not stopped crying, Ben was such a lovely dog, he's never bitten anyone. It's such a shame that he's gone, we really miss him. Got to go, this is upsetting me Alison

((Ali)) I so completely understand you inner turmoil and grief. It's a very hard thing to do. As you'll see from some replies to you in your other thread, you're not alone in this hard decision. A lot of us have gone through the same thing. I wish there was a way to take your pain away.
. My entire family reacted the same way when my daughter and I had to have our dog put down. My sincere condolences for your loss Ali.
