Oh my. Photos of daddy eagle bringing the fish home. Absolutely stunning!

Really, you should go look at the photos in the Photographer section of the eagle forum!
. |
That poor Sutton eagle sure has been battling the wind today!
|
Yes, those photos are stunning... they were stunning last season too!
|
The 3rd egg has hatched! So far so good!

2 videos....
1) Eagle discipline! Mom won't allow the bullying! . 2) Beak fight: . I read at Blackwater's blog that the beak wrestling is exercise for the neck... maybe? maybe not! |
I can't believe I saw that! thanks Mrs.D. Mother knows best! :D
|
Yeah, Alffe... she finally sent him/her flying backwards!...
Then the gentle press to keep him/her down! After all they could poke their eye out! :p |
Today it is cool at the gardens.
Mom is having some trouble keeping the very active chicks, warm. It is a bit funny... but I really feel for her! She looks pretty grumpy! Its been interesting so far. Many odd live foods have shown up in the nest. Live eel, live fish, and even a Nutria, which was dead. It appears that Nutria, a kind of rodent is a biological pest, which was introduced to the US to combat excess vegetation, and hence has spread and become a real problem. |
I looked at the slide show from the 14th as the camera seems to be down this morning....really suprised at how fast they are growing!
