Hello. I have been falling off and on, never know when its going to happen. After a severe sciatic nerve bout in my right leg with excrushiating (sp) my right leg has become shorter than the left, so my balance is not the best. Anyway, I have the two golden retrievers that are blind, Phoenix and Luke.I was really upset because I left a drawer open in the kitchen and Phoenix ran right into it. I went to him and put my hand on his head and told him how sorry I was. I told him that I wouldn't hurt him for anything in the world.
Later that same day I was with both of the boys on the front porch. I bent over to pick up a leash and down I went. First on my knee's, then rolled over on my side. I sat up and thought about my knee hurting and thinking that " I did it again." I felt something on my shoulder. It was Phoenix's paw. I looked at his face and I know he was saying "I forgive you for the drawer I ran into" This blind dog Phoenix Arizona Rowdy boy has a very big heart. Blessings, Doodle bug7 |

Yes they do have a big heart. He understands, he knows you didn't mean it.
. I have a 15 year old cocker spaniel who is blind and deaf. She went totally blind in November and I thought I'd have to put her down because she didn't leave the kitchen. The vet said she'll figure it out. And she did, she gets all over the house by herself. She's even learned to walk with her head down so she doesn't bang her nose into the wall. But I found out in January that she has cancer. I don't know how much longer I'm going to have her and don't know what I'll do when it's time. She's still eating and even though she's blind as a bat she finds her squeaky soccer ball and walks around the house with it in her jaws. That's why I call her "ball jaws". .

Doodle - that's why dogs are some of the best people ever.
Sophie had just had surgery (cancer), and her vet called because he was worried, she had not gone potty all day. So I drove down to see if I could figure out what was up. When I got there, I realized she was okay (for some one who was stiches from end to end). She just did not want to pee indoors, cuz she was too well behaved. lol. We had to take her outside, thunderstorm and all, with an umbrella. I had to tell the vet not to look. He turned away, and she peed right into the cup for me. .
