Dogs will roll in dead fish! I've seen them do it.

About 3 summers ago one cousin brought two adolescent chocolate lab pubs up North. They ran amok, and weren't too bad when they came to us. I could persuade them to leave easily. But what they did that was very very funny is that both had to roll in the area where our 3 cats had made a latrine.
Rolling in cat pee and cat poop, must have gone over really well back at the small cabin they use! LOL We still laugh about THAT one!

My Dear dog Ned(RIP) who was white with black spots, use to relish rolling in the black sand at my Sisters place. He would go from brilliant white to grey, and look at me as if to say, "Mum I'm tooooooo clean the other dogs will laugh"

Millie - my avatar - will roll in any nasty thing she can find. Oddly, then she expects a bath and brushing. She'll butt-bump you, show you to the tub, and scratch at it till she gets her way.

The papillon is just the oposite - he is really fussy. I've seen him walk on two legs to keep his feet clean.

Ozzy is too lazy to seek out or avoid messes. If he gets messy or needs a bath, he'll just sit there and give ya the *Bernie Mac* eyes. "Tell you what, America..."

My mini schnauzer (RIP) used to be quite clean, and would walk around dirty piles of anything. she seemed quite pleased with how clean she was ...until...she would come inside and not be quite done pooping, and...yep, you guessed it, DRAG her backside across the carpet! ick!

then she would look at me like AH! that feeeeeeeeelsss soooooo gooooood! I used to have the carpet shampooed professionally twice a year, until I invested in a shampooer of my own.


My cat drinks from the toilet! I thought that was a dog thing. I have one cat I wont let out. She is quite brave, and I am terrified she will bring home one of the alpaca from the farm next door. She is afraid of nothing, and quite the hunter. I just cant trust her yet. She can be my indoor bug hunter.

The birds like Rudy, cuz he looks like a dog. They STILL think the pomeranians are cats and nothing I say is gonna change their minds.
