Hi devondegenero
Welcome to NeuroTalk . Here a neuropsychologist would be called a clinical psychologist. Training as a clinical psychologist takes about eight years. They are usually registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and can not prescribe medication (psychiatrists can). Clinical psychologists specialise in providing mental health services including assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy. Best wishes.
